WANTED

One big serving of LUCK.

Apparently I don't have any. I know everyone always says this but I have proof! One might say that you are in need of luck when your brand new beautiful Ford Explorer is already broken.

I can't believe it. I got to drive it for ONE day, just one! Apparently the rear wheel is coming off or something like that nothing to important.

So if anybody has any luck they are willing to share, I could use all I can get

One word, One syllable, Six letters

Yeah!!! I love fun new crafts. Especially fall ones. (fall decorating is my favorite) Here is a cute idea, either for yourself or a gift.

I got the idea from one of my favorite shows, One Tree Hill. Peyton makes one of these for her baby because she thinks she is going to die, and she wants her baby to remember her. (I know it is totally a soap opera, but it is just so good) I think it would be fun to make one for your kid or just for you to look back at, you could put a little journal of memories or whatever else to remember a certain time in your life.
It was really easy to make, it only took about an hour or so. (any craft takes me way longer than anyone else, I have this weird perfectionist thing going on) I got the box at Roberts. They had a ton of different sizes. I just used spray glue to stick the paper on, but you could also use mod podge (best invention ever!)

I am also way excited about my other project. Becky found this way cute halloween table runner.

We are going to make it. We got a huge deal on the fabric and it is going to be a lot of work but it will totally be worth it. I am so excited.

Hurray for Crafting!!!!

Coolest bag ever!!!!

So I was with the young women in my ward at Wal-Mart (the devil store as we lovingly call it) and I saw the coolest bag I have ever seen in my whole life. I had to have it. I didn't have any money with me so I was going to go back the next day and get it. I told Mike about it and he being the sweetheart he is went and got it for me. It was only $9. How cool is that!

Yes it does have Coldplay on the front. They are one of my all time favorite bands. I was so mad that we didn't go see them in concert when they came recently! Yeah for good deals on fun things!

Live YOUR Beautiful Situation

Lately I have been having kind of a hard time. You know those times in your life where you feel like you are looking at your life from the outside. Like watching a movie. That is how I feel lately. I am just kind of here with no purpose in life. I love that I can pray for guidance and get answers. I was searching for something, anything to help me figure out what I need to be doing at this time in my life. I opened up the Ensign and started to read this article by President Uchtdorf. I came across this quote and loved it. I love the part where it says to not set goals beyond your capacity. I feel like I am continually setting myself up for failure. There are so many things I want to do and never enough time. I also like the part where it tells you to not compare yourself to others. This is another thing I am continually doing. It seems like everyone else is better than I am at things.

In my life I think I need to step back and realize that I am good at many things (they aren't always the things I want to be good at, but that is the way it is). Anyway I absolutely love this quote and put it up on my desk. It is inspiring.

LDS.org - Liahona Article - The Influence of Righteous Women: "May I invite you to rise to the great potential within you. But don’t reach beyond your capacity. Don’t set goals beyond your capacity to achieve. Don’t feel guilty or dwell on thoughts of failure. Don’t compare yourself with others. Do the best you can, and the Lord will provide the rest. Have faith and confidence in Him, and you will see miracles happen in your life and the lives of your loved ones. The virtue of your own life will be a light to those who sit in darkness, because you are a living witness of the fulness of the gospel (see D&C 45:28). Wherever you have been planted on this beautiful but often troubled earth of ours, you can be the one to “succor the weak, lift up the hands which hang down, and strengthen the feeble knees” (D&C 81:5)."

That next day after I found the article a friend in my ward who serves in the Young Women with me posted a saying on her blog/facebook. It was so perfectly worded, I also printed it out and put it up on my desk. (My desk is going to be covered!!!!) It makes me happy!! I intend on "living my beautiful situation" to the fullest.

DEAD :(

Well, my car is dead. I bought it right after I graduated high school in 2003. So it has lasted me a good 6 years. Heaven knows that when I had to replace the transmission in 2005 I didn't think it would last much longer. Yet it lasted a whole 4 years more!! Way to go Rosario! I wanted to pay a tribute to my first (and last) Saturn. Thanks for getting me where I needed to go!!

Fleetwood Mac

This weekend I went with my Dad to Vegas to see Fleetwood Mac in concert. I LOVE them. I totally grew up listening to them. When I was little I found one of my parents tapes of FM and I was instantly hooked. I listened to them for like a year straight.
This was the best concert ever. Those old rock groups sure do know how to put on a show. The played for 2 1/2 house straight!! It was so fun. We left Saturday morning and got back Sunday afternoon. It was a lot of driving but it was totally worth it!! Who knows if they will tour again. They are in their 60s, but they rocked out. My dad and I were laughing he went to their concert 30 years ago!

Here is Lindsey Buckingham (the guitarist) rocking out. They were really good.

Here is Stevie Nicks singing "Gold Dust Woman". She has a great voice, she can sing so low!
